The software you choose to manage you organization should come from a company that has the experience and expertise to move your company through the implementation process quickly with zero interruption to your current service and performance levels. When you choose to purchase our transportation management system you can be assured that your implementation will go off correctly. It will be done quickly, usually in thirty days or less depending on the size of your company. In any event, the length of your implementation period is under your control. We’ll move it forward at the speed you’d like, in the order that you’d like.
Phase 1 – Installation
If you choose to implement the Express Online Edition then you won’t have anything to install. If you decide to go with the installed version of Express then you should know that we have installed our software thousands of times in the widest number of environments imaginable. There is virtually no hardware, operating system or network issue that we haven’t already encountered and overcome. Our installation specialists will perform whatever actions are necessary to install the software quickly and efficiently. If your company already has a functioning Windows network your installation will normally be done in an hour or less.
Phase 2 –Migration Planning
Smart Migration starts with a well thought out plan. To construct a plan, we need information. We’ll conduct an interview with your assigned personnel that will help us to understand your company structure and objectives. This will enable us to construct training schedules around functional areas of responsibility according to your implementation objectives. Next we’ll import any data you may already have. Usually customers, vendors, equipment, etc. and if you wish, invoices, bills and checks. No matter what system you are getting the data from, we can get it into our SQL Database. Once this core data is setup, it’s backed up and saved. Your company then enters the Training Phase using all your core data.
Phase 3 –Training Period
We will work with you to create a comprehensive and individualized training schedule for each individual in your company. The type, length and number of training sessions that each employee will need in order to be effectively trained will be depend on their job duties and responsibilities. Training sessions can include video presentations, online demonstrations or verbal training via telephone. Each individual will be presented with all the information that they will need in order to transition their work environment onto the software. You can feel free to put in as much garbage data as you want during this phase. When you are ready to go live, we’ll restore the saved database containing all of your core data and you can go to work.
Phase 4 – Implementation
At the planned and designated times, departments and personnel will switch from previous ways and means of performing their job duties to performing those same duties within the context of the software. During the week that each individual comes online, PCS support personnel will contact each individual or department, at your discretion, daily to discuss any concerns that may exist. In this way, we stay right next to you during this crucial phase.
